Sönke Gäthke

Sönke Gäthke is an editor for energy and technology at the SMC. He has worked as a journalist since 1995: first in local radio, later as a science journalist for Deutschlandfunk and WDR, as well as for the BBC and "The Economist". His passion is science in the service of society, with a particular interest in energy, transport, technology, digitalization, and society. He maintains an independent perspective and is especially fascinated by cross-connections and historical developments. His radio features have won multiple awards, including the Environmental Media Award of Deutsche Umwelthilfe and the Ernst Schneider Award of German Business.
