Meik Bittkowski

Meik Bittkowski is head of research and development, with a particular focus on the SMC Lab. Previously, he worked as an adviser in the Digital Services department of ULB Münster and as a research associate in the “Scientific Databases and Visualization” group at HITS in Heidelberg, where he was involved in data journalism projects. He studied philosophy and German studies in Oldenburg and Heidelberg, as well as computer science at FernUniversität in Hagen, and earned his doctorate in Heidelberg with a dissertation on Robert Kane’s theory of natural libertarianism.
